PUBLIC HISTORY AT HURON

Joint Minor in Public History

Join us in the new Huron/King’s/Western Joint Minor in Public History–the first and only undergraduate Public History program in Canada. The 4.0 course module will introduce you to the field of Public History, and provide opportunities for gaining practical experience through partnerships with museums, heritage organizations, libraries and archives.

The Public History module is supported by Huron History’s program strengths in community-based research and active history, and by the breadth and depth of Public History scholarship and course offerings in the Department of History at Western and the Department of History at King’s.

Huron students can combine the minor module in Public with other History modules, or with modules in other disciplines, such as Archaeology; Classical Studies; English and Cultural Studies; Geography; Media, Information and Technoculture; and Visual Art.
