These modules are intended to introduce student researchers at Huron to frameworks and practices for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) in Research. Anyone is welcome to work through the modules, but they have been designed with undergraduate students who are embedded in a research environment in mind.
The content is organized as a series of modules that you can complete at your own pace. The goal is to encourage you to explore and consider the importance of EDI frameworks in research, specifically within a post-secondary context.
By the end of these modules, we hope that you will be able to:
- Recognize ways in which concepts of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) are applicable to research practices within post-secondary contexts.
- Recognize the value of EDI and understand how EDI frameworks are relevant and applicable at Huron.
- Demonstrate a curiosity and interest in EDI frameworks and how EDI is relevant to your personal experiences (both inside and outside of an academic context).
- Identify actionable ways to contribute to ongoing efforts to promote EDI in research.
