Job Title: Research Assistant
Dates: June 2-August 29, 2025 (Subject to change)
Direct Supervisor: Dr. Christine Tsang
Hours per Week: 5 hours per week
Rate of pay: $18.00/hour
We are seeking a motivated Huron student to join an existing research project as Research Assistant. This position offers an opportunity to collaborate with faculty, staff, and students to investigate faculty experiences of undergraduate research learning at Huron. Please note that this is a remote work position. All meetings will be held via Zoom and all responsibilities can be fulfilled virtually.
Key Responsibilities
1. Qualitative Data Analysis
- Investigate and discuss relevant literature regarding best practices in qualitative research methods, coding and analysis.
- Participate in training and workshops on use of NVivo software.
- Conduct transcript review and editing.
- Collaborate with research team to develop qualitative coding and analysis of transcripts exploring faculty experiences of undergraduate research learning, faculty development and high impact teaching practices.
- Incorporate feedback from research team to refine results
2. Initial Development of Research Paper
- Support initial framing of results write-up in collaboration with research team.
Qualifications
- Previous experience with NVivo software and/or qualitative research methods an asset.
- Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Commitment to confidentiality.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Creative thinker with a willingness to experiment and innovate.

- Current registered Huron students who are eligible to work in Canada.
