Congratulations to @HistoryHuron students Emily Abbott and Hannah Maitland, inaugural recipients of Student Fellowships through Huron’s Centre for Undergraduate Research Learning. Each CURL 2016 Student Research Fellowship is valued at $1500.

Collaborating with Dr. Tom Peace (Huron), Emily Abbot will be researching the ethical and legal issues surrounding 3D artifact printing, in partnership with Sustainable Archaeology and Parks Canada.

Hannah Maitland joins faculty collaborators  Dr. Nina Reid-Maroney (Huron) and Dr. Olivette Otele from Bath-Spa University, examining histories of transatlantic slavery and resistance with the Huron “Phantoms of the Past” project.
