CURL Newsletter (2021-22)
For the 2021-22 school year, CURL partnered with the ever-amazing Huron University College Students’ Council to support a research learning newsletter. This publication was conceptualized, developed, written, and designed by students. It featured stories of collaborative research learning experiences throughout the Huron community, from research assistantships to Fellowships and more. Click here to read the newsletter (pdf)!
Academic Collaborators/Students as Partners (2020-21)
Throughout the 2022-23 school year, in collaboration with the Huron University College Students’ Council, CURL commissioned groups of Huron students to develop educational projects about research ethics and recommendations for CURL regarding EDI and Mentorship practices. View the Research Ethics podcast and other resources they created at our Research Ethics Resources – Academic Collaborators page!
SSHRCC Institutional Grant (2018-21)
In 2018, CURL received a three-year SSHRC Institutional Grant. We used this funding to support student-faculty research collaboration and to strengthen research excellence at Huron.
CURL’s SIG awards helped to finance faculty-led research initiatives in the fields of Social Sciences and Humanities, providing paid training, mentorship, and hands-on research opportunities to undergraduate students.
