Her volunteer work has always been with women&#8217;s organizations concerned with violence against women \u2013 Women\u2019s Community House, Hamilton Sexual Assault Centre, London Sexual Assault Centre and My Sisters\u2019 Place. Her biographical material is at the UWO Archives.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Jean Hewitt, Ph.D., Secretary;\u202fwas the Western Ontario Status of Women Convener for the Federation of Women Teachers from 1971-76. As such, she worked to change many aspects of school leadership and the education of female students.\u202f In 1975, Jean brought together all the London area women\u2019s groups to create, and chaired for 30 years, an International Women\u2019s Year Steering Committee for the City.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Sheila Davenport: B.S.W., Treasurer.\u202fRetired \u2013 Former Manager, London Urban Resource Center, Former Councillor, City of London.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">Mary McKim, M.D.,\u202f<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"none\">has been involved from the beginning.\u202f Background in psychiatric practice.\u202f Interest in treating women suffering the consequences of childhood and\/or ongoing abuse.\u202f Founding member of CARAL, National Board member. Later President of London Chapter of CARAL. Founding board Girl\u2019s Group Home of London (now WAYS) and LSWAG, now Abused Women\u2019s Centre.\u202f Her files are with the UWO Archives.<\/span>\u00a0<br \/><span data-contrast=\"none\">Catherine Charlton, M.A.,\u202fis a former member of the Ontario Status of Women Council and the private Ontario Committee on the Status of Women. Now, a retired Assistant Keeper\/Curator of the British Library, London, UK.
