Provenance A: Binding  A Sammelband bound with the second edition of John Guillim’s A display of heraldrie (London: 1632). Bound in early blind-tooled calf with rebacked spine. Evidence of holes from clasp present on front board.
Provenance B: Ownership Marks Copy contains early inscription of “Jo[hn] Gresham” and price “pret ??” at head of title page. Copy listed in the Abbey’s Register of Benefactors as having been given by Dr. Nicholas Onl[e]y, prebendary of Westminster (1672-1724).
Provenance C: Annotations Copy contains various annotations in the margins and back endpapers in multiple early hands, the majority of which are by Onley. Annotations include corrections, supplements, and a range of cross-references to various early modern English printed works, including John Speed, Historie of Great Britain, John Weever, Ancient Funerall Monuments, Thomas Danett’s translation, The Historie of Philip de Commines and Thomas Milles’ Catalogue of Honor.
