Provenance A: Binding Bound in early gold-tooled brown calf. Spine has six compartments with “Brooke Catalog” in gilt on red label in compartment two.
Provenance B: Ownership Marks Copy contains various annotations, shelfmarks, and prices on inner front pastedown. Early inscription reads, “William Yonge of Kainton[?] in the county salt E/2[?]”.
Provenance C: Annotations Copy contains list of three continental heraldry editions dated 1561 to 1597 titled “Excellent french heraulds” in ink on inner front pastedown. Verso of final printed leaf contains an early MS. list of other contemporary English heraldry books dated 1561 to 1614 with notes on formats. Possible early price “Pret[ium] 5s[?]” in ink and later price “£75” in pencil on inner front pastedown.
