Provenance A: Binding  Bound in light brown blind-tooled calf with corner flower ornaments on front and back boards. Spine contains six compartments with title “Brook’s Catalogue” in compartment two, and year “1819” at foot, both in gilt. Remaining compartments contain blind-tooled decorative ornaments. Marbled pastedowns and endpapers with “Bayntun.Binder.Bath.Eng” in gilt found on foot of inner front board.
Provenance B: Ownership Marks Copy contains early ink inscriptions of “Tho: Clo[fton]” and “S. Thirlby [Pr]” on front endpaper. Later faded pencilled inscriptions reading “Geo[?] Cla[???]” and “P[??]e” also on front endpaper. University of Michigan library bookplate on inner front pastedown.
Provenance C: Annotations Copy contains several small MS. corrections, supplements, cross-references and numbered lines in early ink and later pencilled hands throughout. Corrections to a few French blazons also found throughout.
