Provenance A: Binding  Bound in light brown blind-tooled calf. Spine has blind-tooled ornaments in five of six compartments. Compartment two has title “The Kings of England To 1622” in gilt on black label.
Provenance B: Ownership Marks Copy contains the University of Chicago Libraries bookplate with “The Library of John Matthew Manly Professor and Head of the Department of English 1898-1933 Presented by A Friend Of The University”. Inscriptions reading “Phil Traheron [??] 1723” and “W Ca[??]y” at top of title page. Additional inscription of “Samuel Vasper Thomas” near foot of title page. Bookplate with “Vasper-Thomas” in MS. on verso of title page.
Provenance C: Annotations Copy contains a select number of annotations mainly in a later hand including cross-references and corrections. Page 392 has a more extensive list of cross-references within the volume.
