Provenance A: Binding  Bound in blind-tooled dark brown calf. Rebacked spine has seven compartments.
Provenance B: Ownership Marks Copy contains Society of Antiquaries of London bookplate on inner front pastedown. Ink inscription on dedication page reads “Hugh Parker [???] – [????] House 1839”. Back endpaper includes “Robert Wild” repeated several times along with various longer inscriptions.
Provenance C: Annotations Copy contains loose MS. facsimile in an early hand describing Brooke’s imprisonment with title “Yorke Heralds case, and cause of imprisonmente” between first front endpaper and inner front pastedown. Annotation on p. 335 reads “others say that this Hameline was a Bastard – and see this Book. p. 327:237”. Snippet of sale catalogue fixed to inner back pastedown.
