Spine contains six compartments with gilt title “Brooke’s Catalogue of Kings” on brown leather label in compartment two. Additional compartments contain repeated blind ornaments. Repeated gilt rulings on bands and at head and foot. |
| Provenance B: Ownership Marks | Copy contains bookplate of Jaggard Collection (number 6) on left pastedown. Copy was presented to the Shakespeare Memorial Library, Stratford-upon-Avon, in April 1909 by Captain William Jaggard (accession number 3415), and then transferred to the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust on 16th February 1948 (accession number 4313). Additional ink inscription on inner front pastedown reads “Henry Shirley, The Grove, Brishington, 1813”. |
