Provenance A: Binding  Bound in early gold-tooled calf with corner ornaments and centrepieces with initials “I S” enclosed. Evidence of chain staple mark on front board. Spine contains gilt ornaments in six of seven compartments. Compartment two has title in gilt on red leather label.
Provenance B: Ownership Marks Copy contains early ink signature of “Tho Shir”, likely short for Thomas Shirley. Gilt centrepiece has embedded initials “I S” Queen’s College bookplate on inner front pastedown and verso of title page.
Provenance C: Annotations Copy contains single ink correction of “Katherin” on p.23.
