Provenance A: Binding  Bound in early dark brown blind-tooled calf with gilt centrepieces. Spine has seven compartments and no title. Several leaves in early gatherings are damaged. Early preliminary leaves have been misbound and inserted at end of text.
Provenance B: Ownership Marks Copy contains the early autograph inscription of “Edmond Farrall” repeated in different hands on front endpaper. Verso of same endpaper has longer inscription signed “Ric[hard] Davies”.
Provenance C: Annotations Copy contains several MS. corrections and supplementary annotations, including some that extend Brooke’s genealogies into the 1630s/40s. One cross-reference to Thomas Fuller’s Holy Warre on p. 201. Several arms coloured throughout. MS. supplements and corrections in different hands can be found on pp. 9, 23, 46, 52-54, 62, 72, 79, 137, 150, 164, 176, 188, 201, 275. For more see University of Leeds Special Collections.
