Provenance A: Binding | Bound in green tree calf with gilt ornamental frame on boards and edges. Spine contains six compartments with title “Brooke’s Catalogue of the Nobility” on red label in compartment two, year “1622” at foot and ornaments in remaining compartments, all in gilt. Pastedowns and endpapers are marbled with gilt frame on inner boards. |
Provenance B: Ownership Marks | Copy contains gilt leather book label of the Folger Shakespeare Library and bookplates of Baron Amherst of Hackney and John Tuckett on inner front board. Recto of front endpaper contains inscription “Ralph Fenwick of Warkworth”. Folger Shakespeare Library leather bookplate on front pastedown and Folger paper bookplate on back pastedown.
