Provenance A: Binding  Bound in gold-tooled brown mottled calf with gilt fore edges and inner dentelles,
marbled pastedowns and endpapers. Spine has six compartments with title “Brooke
Catalogue of Nobility” in gilt in compartment two, date of “1619” in compartment three, and
repeated ornaments in remaining compartments, all in gilt. Stamp reading “Bound by Riviere and son”
on verso of front endpaper.
Provenance B: Ownership Marks Copy contains cropped signature on title page and MS. shelf mark “Antiq : fol(o): Cla: G: Shelf – 4” in a different hand. Copy purchased at Anderson sale 13-14 Feb 1918, no. 132. For additional notes, see the Folger Shakespeare Library Catalogue.
