Provenance A: Binding  Bound in early blind-tooled brown calf. Spine contains six compartments with title “Brooke Succession of Kings, Princes, Etc.” tooled in gilt on red label in compartment two. Compartment six has “Jaggard 1619” tooled in blind. Remaining compartments have gold-tooled ornaments.
Provenance B: Ownership Marks Copy contains the Eton College book label with gift donation of Joseph Frideric Burrell (1909-1983) dated 1983 on inner front pastedown. Additional pencilled shelfmarks on inner front pastedown. Armorial bookplate of Charles Montagu Lord Halifax (1661-1715) (Either Franks 20877, 20878 or later impression) on verso of title page.
Provenance C: Annotation Copy contains seventeenth-century MS. list of expenses on verso of “Table” in early hand which records costs for malt[?] etc. Second list on verso of next leaf includes date of 1674. Copy contains marginal notes in a later hand. See, p. 16.
