Provenance A: Binding  Bound in later gold-tooled red calf?. Foreedges cropped and reddened. Rebacked spine contains six compartments with title “Succession of Kings” in compartment two, “1622” at foot, and ornaments in remaining compartments, all in gilt.
Provenance B: Ownership Marks Copy contains “The Authour’s guift” inscribed at top of title page. This is one of several surviving gift copies.
Provenance C: Annotations Copy contains tricked arms and annotation reading “Wevers mon: 679 677″ on title page, which is a reference to John Weever’s Ancient Funerall Monuments. Cropped MS. cross-references found throughout and a strikethrough on sig. G2r.
