Summary:<\/h2>\n

Fair Chance Learning was a professional services company in the education, learning, and development sector focused on equipping individuals with skills required to succeed in the modern workforce. Martha and Dustin Jez founded Fair Chance Learning in Newmarket, Ontario with the vision of connecting education and workforce development to better prepare individuals for future careers. Fair Chance Learning launched programs in partnership with Microsoft and public school systems to address rural education systems and workforce development challenges. Over a decade, Fair Chance Learning grew from a local initiative in Ontario to a trusted professional services firm with clients across Canada and the United States. Martha and Dustin wanted this momentum to continue and were considering the following alternatives: maintaining their current operations, expanding to either the food processing or healthcare sector in Canada, introducing a student program in the U.S. or selling the business. Students will perform an internal and external analysis and apply tools such as breakeven analysis and projected statements, as well as several business valuation techniques, while considering organizational goals, scalability, and external factors affecting the company. This general management case is designed for an introductory business course at the undergraduate level.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\r\n\r\n
