Summary:<\/h2>\n

Bloom Youth Development (Bloom) was a self-development program for youth aged 6-16 that taught soft skills in an interactive and engaging way over the course of 18 months. Following the success of virtual mindfulness sessions during the COVID-19 pandemic, Nishant Parekh founded Bloom in 2021. The program offered weekly interactive classes and generated revenue through monthly subscriptions while supporting engagement with take-home activity kits and an online community. Although committed to the growth of Bloom, Parekh faced cultural pressure from family members who questioned the long-term stability of the company, making the next strategic decisions critical to its future. To re-establish growth momentum, Parekh needed to determine the most appropriate strategy in order to gain family approval. The alternatives included maintaining the status quo by hiring someone full-time, increasing Google and Facebook advertising, renting a dedicated classroom, delivering programs directly in schools, or selling the business. Students must consider personal and professional goals while completing an analysis of internal and external factors, as well as preparing projected statements, breakeven and net benefit analyses. Students will then recommend the most appropriate course of action for Parekh. This general management case is suitable for an undergraduate, introductory business course. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n
