The five feathers running down the side of the man’s face represent the five nations of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy. The feathers also represent the presence of the great guardian eagle in all our lives. To the Haudenosaunee, the eagle is perceived to be the Guardian Eagle for it sits atop the Great Tree of Peace watching over the people and mother earth.
