Thinking about our Joint Program in Public History<\/strong>? The core Huron course for PH in 2020 is Dr. Compeau’s History 2811F Historians, Communities and the Past.<\/a> The course will give you the chance to participate in Dr. Compeau’s digital public history project “Loyalist Migrations”, which uses ArcGIS to plot the journeys of migrants who fled the United States in the aftermath of the American Revolution. Partnered with the Map and Data Centre on main campus and the United Empire Loyalist Association of Canada, the project has collected thousands of individual stories to create a visualization and database for public audiences and academic study. Students in History 2811 will be able to contribute, and there will be more opportunities to get involved as the project grows.
