Problematic internet usage has been linked to many negative outcomes, making it imperative that adolescents understand how social media can be used positively and negatively in order to decrease detrimental effects. Although many social media influencers claim they present themselves authentically, to what extent is this true? Influencers\u2019 and other social media users\u2019 content can play a major role in how we view ourselves and can leads to social comparison, which can have negative effects.
