Duties would include promoting CURL on campus, offering peer mentoring to incoming CURL students, and providing logistical and administrative support for CURL conferences (November 28 and April 3).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Preferred Qualifications<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\"><strong>Education:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>Must be registered at Huron University College as an undergraduate student in a minimum 60% course load (40% course load for students with disabilities).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\">\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\"><strong>Skills, Abilities &amp; Expertise:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>Enthusiastic about undergraduate research learning<\/li>\n<li>Ability to raise awareness about research opportunities with CURL to peers through public presentations and informal conversation<\/li>\n<li>Detail-oriented with an ability to organize and plan events<\/li>\n<li>Experience conducting and\/or supporting research in the humanities or social sciences<\/li>\n<li>Personable and courteous in working relationships with faculty, peers and the public<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work independently and effectively as a member of the team to achieve goals<\/li>\n<li>Verbal and written communication skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\">\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\"><strong>Eligibility<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>Must complete financial profile with Jane Parker (<a href=\"mailto:mjparker@huron.uwo.ca\">mjparker@huron.uwo.ca<\/a>) to determine financial need.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\">Please forward a letter of interest, a resume, and the name of one academic and\/or professional reference to: Deanne van Tol, Coordinator, Teaching &amp; Research (<a href=\"mailto:curl@uwo.ca\">curl@uwo.ca<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\">Applications are due <strong>September 30, 2019. <\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>CURL is looking for an undergraduate student assistant!
