Urban Aboriginal Knowledge Network<\/a><br \/>The UAKN Guiding Ethical Principles encompasses an acknowledgement of community ethics concerning research. It is further recognized that this document is a small iteration of the many Indigenous ethical protocols currently existing.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.huronresearch.ca\/curl\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/53\/2024\/08\/RE-4.1L-RHS-Cultural-Framework.pdf\">RHS Cultural Framework<\/a><br \/>First Nations Regional Longitudinal Health Survey (RHS) Cultural Framework<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gida-global.org\/care\">CARE Principles for Indigenous Data Governance<\/a><br \/>The CARE Principles (Collective Benefit, Authority to Control, Responsibility, and Ethics) for Indigenous Data Governance are people and purpose-oriented, reflecting the crucial role of data in advancing Indigenous innovation and self-determination, and complement the existing FAIR principles encouraging open and other data movements to consider both people and purpose in their advocacy and pursuits.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/fnigc.ca\/first-nations-data-centre\/\">The First Nations Data Centre<\/a><br \/>The First Nations Data Centre is a Knowledge Translation resource from FNIGC that provides access to published, unpublished, and record-level data from their respected national survey work.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.huronresearch.ca\/curl\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/53\/2024\/08\/RE-4.1J-Ethics-in-First-Nations-Research-Assembly-of-First-Nations.pdf\">Ethics in First Nations Research &#8211; Assembly of First Nations<\/a><br \/>This document outlines challenges, as well as tools for enabling ethical First Nations research.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.huronresearch.ca\/curl\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/53\/2024\/08\/RE-4.1M-First-Nations-in-Quebec-and-Labradors-Research-Protocol-2014.pdf\">First Nations in Quebec and Labrador&#8217;s Research Protocol 2014<\/a><br \/>The First Nations in Quebec and Labrador\u2019s Research Protocol is first and foremost a collective tool for community chiefs and managers who are invited to take part in research projects. This document will be used as a guide by not only First Nations, communities and regional organizations, but also indirectly by the scientific community, in order to establish rules for research activities performed with First Nations or on their territory.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nri.nu.ca\/sites\/default\/files\/public\/files\/06-068_itk_nrr_booklet.pdf\">Negotiating Research Relationships with Inuit Communities: A Guide for Researchers<\/a><br \/>This guide is an attempt to address questions of the expectations of Northern researchers to ensure that Northern communities are involved in, and benefit from, research, as well as provide practical advice to assist researchers who plan to work with, or in the vicinity of, Canadian Inuit communities in the regions of Nunatsiavut (Labrador), Nunavik (northern Qu\u00e9bec), Nunavut, and the Inuvialuit Settlement Region of the Northwest Territories (NWT).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.huronresearch.ca\/curl\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/53\/2024\/08\/RE-4.1N-Principles-of-Ethical-Metis-Research.pdf\">Principles of Ethical M\u00e9tis Research<\/a><br \/>These principles are intended to reflect the considerable experience of the participants involved.
