These modules are intended to introduce student researchers at Huron to frameworks and practices for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) in Research. Anyone is welcome to work through the modules, but they have been designed with undergraduate students who are embedded in a research environment in mind.<\/p>\n

The content is organized as a series of modules that you can complete at your own pace. The goal is to encourage you to explore and consider the importance of EDI frameworks in research, specifically within a post-secondary context.<\/p>\n

By the end of these modules, we hope that you will be able to:<\/p>\n

  1. Recognize ways in which\u202fconcepts of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI)\u202fare applicable to\u202fresearch\u202fpractices within post-secondary\u202fcontexts.<\/li>\n
  2. Recognize the\u202fvalue\u202fof EDI\u202fand\u202funderstand\u202fhow EDI\u202fframeworks are relevant\u202fand\u202fapplicable\u202fat\u202fHuron.<\/li>\n
  3. Demonstrate a curiosity and interest in EDI frameworks and how EDI is relevant to\u202fyour personal experiences (both inside and outside\u202fof\u202fan academic context).<\/li>\n
  4. Identify actionable ways to contribute to ongoing efforts to promote EDI in research.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
