Communicating research ideas effectively in a proposal is a skill that takes practice to learn. On March 2, 2017, students joined Dr. Nick Van Allen, Coordinator of Writing Services in this free CURL-sponsored workshop to learn how to write a research question, structure an effective proposal, write for a non-specialist audience, and read between the lines of grant instructions. This workshop was strongly recommended to CURL Student Associates planning on applying for a summer fellowship.
